Fans of Sex and the City and its sequel, And Just Like That, are clamouring for explanations after a key character was omitted from a season 2 poster.
After 17 years, the American comedy-drama, which reunited three of the four characters from Sex and the City, resurrected Carrie Bradshaw’s tale in 2021.
On Wednesday, HBO revealed that the HBO Max series would return to our screens in just over a month, on June 22.
Kim Cattrall, one of the original show’s actors, did not return after supposedly ‘going over the finish line’ with her character Samantha.
Carrie’s husband, John ‘Big’ Preston, died suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack in the first episode, causing shockwaves across social media.
Despite the absence of Samantha and Mr Big from important episodes, the show became popular with viewers and was renewed for a second season.
However, if the recent promotional posters are any indication, another significant character will be missing from future episodes as well.

HBO has published new photographs of Max, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis).
They’re also joined by regular cast members from season one, with the exception of David Eigenberg’s fan favourite Steve Brady.
Steve originally appeared on Sex And The City in the second season and remained Miranda’s love interest until marrying her and starring in both sequel films.
However, towards the end of the first season of And Just Like That, Steve and Miranda’s relationship fell apart, and Miranda left New York with a new love interest.
Despite the breakup, supporters expected Steve to return for season 2, but his omission from the poster has some fans sure he won’t.
‘They’re destroying this series by adding to it,’ one admirer said. It’s just getting worse, and they’re making Steve appear awful when he never looked bad before.’
‘I don’t see Steve, and it makes me sad,’ stated another show fan, while another commented, ‘Not seeing Steve at the table makes me sad.’
However, Just Jared’s investigation has confirmed that David Eigenberg is in the cast for season 2 and will appear.
Aidan, Carrie’s first show love interest, was reconnecting with the main actors earlier this year.
