*WARNING: Spoilers for Selling The OC season two below*
Season two of Selling the OC has finally arrived on Netflix, after what feels like an eternity of anticipation, with all eyes on the Oppenheim Group once more.
Following the first series, there was a lot of upheaval in the workplace, as Tyler Stanaland announced his divorce from ex-wife Brittany Snow shortly after the episodes aired.
Despite stating that he and colleague Alex Hall were merely pals, the duo proceeded to flirt their way through the new season, raising concerns among their co-stars.
In the conclusion, they finally succumbed to temptation and shared a passionate kiss, elevating their friendship to new heights.
In a recent interview, the duo discuss where they are now that the cameras have stopped filming, and whether we’ll get answers in future installments.
‘I think we’re still navigating our friendship. Obviously, you see in season 2 [that] we explore some things. It leads to a steamy moment and I think we’re still trying to figure it out, but we remain really close friends and I don’t have an answer [on where we stand] for you at the moment,’ Tyler told Us Weekly.
Alex said that cameras were present to catch the aftermath of the kiss, and that the footage will air in the third season.
Discussing their decision to act on their feelings, she continued: ‘You see throughout season two the dynamic of our friendship, and it’s easy and it’s comfortable because there it is, just that. It’s a friendship.
‘There’s no strings attached and I think adding that other element is scary. … Some things are awkward. And you can’t avoid it. So we’re just navigating.’
Tyler added: ‘It’s both a blessing and a curse to explore a relationship that starts out as a friendship.
‘There’s a lot of things that come with it and there’s a lot more at stake as well.’
When Selling the OC launched on the streaming platform last year, everyone was talking about Alex being ‘too friendly’ with Tyler in front of the cameras, most notably when she gave him a ‘nosey’ during a cast outing.
Tyler and Brittany, whom he married in 2020, announced their separation weeks after the debut.
‘After time and consideration, Britt and I have made the difficult decision to separate,’ the pro surfer shared on Instagram. ‘This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another.
‘We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives.
‘We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie.
‘We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.’
Selling the OC is available to stream on Netflix now.
