Saturday Night Takeaway viewers kept an eye on Stephen Mulhern after he fell on stage while recording a piece for the show’s conclusion.

To wrap up the series, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly flew to Universal Studios in Florida with their team and an aircraft load of competition winners on this week’s show.

While there was plenty of fun and games to be had, Stephen, 46, fell while trying to go around on roller skates.

The last Ant vs. Dec segment pitted the two hosts against each other in a quiz contest, with the loser receiving a big pie flung in their face.

And after losing the challenge for the second year in a row, Ant was left with pie on his face and couldn’t help but run over to Stephen for a cuddle to make sure he wasn’t the only one covered in cream.

However, given that Stephen wasn’t wearing the most practical footwear, you can guess how it ended.

After Stephen fell to the ground, viewers eagerly flocked to social media to check on him, before the event was addressed later in the show.

‘Now you had a bit of a fall earlier on… are you ok?,’ the boys asked him.

‘Oh I’m absolutely fine but my knees on this stage… it’s hotter than the Earth,’ he replied.

Ant and Dec then claimed they were relieved he was doing well since friends at home were “quite concerned.”

Stephen, who appeared perplexed that anyone ‘cared,’ offered his permission for his fall to be repeated so that everyone might laugh at his folly.

Ant and Dec replaying Stephen falling, I love their friendship,’ one person posted on social media.

‘Stephen cracks me up. The funniest guy,’ another added.

The lads were clearly having pleasure mocking their coworker, who has enjoyed pushing them to their limits throughout the series.

The In For A Penny leader had us all in stitches two weeks ago when he gave the go-ahead for both of them to be submerged in an ice bath.

‘Get him in, get him in!’, Ant chanted, as the studio audience begged to see Dec dunked also.

‘Don’t you dare, don’t you dare,’ Dec begged, but his desperate pleas where ignored.

‘Stephen, don’t you dare! Stop it, stop it!’, he shouted, before being submerged in the freezing cold bath.

He then joked with Stephen that he would seek retribution at some time.

Saturday Night Takeaway is streaming on ITVX.
