Saturday Night Takeaway racked up Ofcom complaints (Picture: ITV)
Saturday Night Takeaway has been hit with Ofcom complaints from viewers following Saturday’s show.
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s family-friendly programme came under fire after a string of jokes about Dec’s height and risqué remarks as Cat Deeley reunited with her former Chums co-stars.
The episode received 96 complaints with the television watchdog confirming they were about ‘a few different issues including the innuendos used and height jokes.’
The End of Show Show was packed with subtle digs at Dec’s expense, with singer Sting even branding the presenter ‘Stumpy’.
Elsewhere, Stephen Mulhern appeared on the stage on stilts and said: ‘Oh Dec, don’t get upset. I’ll cheer you up old buddy’, while Bear Grylls also mocked Dec’s size during a comedy sketch.
‘Have you come to rescue us?’ the presenter innocently asked, to which Bear responded: ‘No, this thing is way bigger than you!’
Without skipping a beat, Ant chimed in: ‘Well everything’s bigger than him’.

Cat’s return also didn’t sit well with some viewer.
During the episode, Cat, Ant and Dec created a special Chums sketch in homage to their famous segment on SM:TV Live, which was inspired by Friends.
They also enlisted a host of celebrity pals including Brian McFadden, Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, and Emily Atack as Ant got reordained to ‘remarry’ his pals.
Ofcom has been inundated with upset viewers in recent weeks, with Piers Morgan’s comments about Meghan Markle on Good Morning Britain continuing to spark complaints.
Meanwhile, Meghan and Prince Harry’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month also triggered uproar, with over 4,000 complaints.
Saturday Night Takeaway continues on Saturday at 7pm on ITV.
