Saturday Night Live has shared the cutest throwback video of brothers Macaulay and Kieran Culkin and fans cannot cope.

Succession star Kieran hosted last night’s episode of the long-running comedy sketch show with musical guest Ed Sheeran dropping by to play a track from his new album.

The actor’s presence marked 30 years since he last appeared on the programme alongside his older brother, Macaulay, 41.

Before Kieran, 39, delivered his opening monologue, Saturday Night Live’s official social media account celebrated his grand return to the series by posting a clip from his debut in 1991.

Kieran stars alongside his brother Macaulay in the video with the pair giving their own spin on Rob Schneider’s Richmeister character, who would take the micky out of everyone using the photocopier by his desk.

Set in a classroom, Macaulay starts throwing nicknames at Kieran, who goes over to a desk to sharpen his pencil.

‘Froggy! The froginator! The guy with the warts!’ Macaulay says, trying to get his sibling’s attention.

‘Leave me alone,’ Kieran, who was just nine at the time, replies.

‘Frogman!’ Macaulay continues. ‘The guy who likes to eat the paste, frog-o-rama.’

Eventually, Kieran snaps and tells Macaulay to shut up, but he continues anyway.

‘Froggy, getting mad,’ he says. ‘Frog-o-rino!’

Viewers were loving being transported back to the 90s and seeing the child stars in action.

‘Awwww this is a sweet throwback video,’ one wrote. ‘The Culkin brothers Rory, Kieran and Macaulay have always had a soft spot in my heart.’

‘The nostalgia gives me life,’ added another.

Others, however, had no idea the duo were brothers!

Kieran kicked off his Saturday Night Live monologue by talking about portraying Roman Roy in HBO’s acclaimed series Succession.

‘He’s one of the nicer characters on the show which still makes him one of the top 10 worst human beings on TV,’ he said.

He went on to say, he’s had a ‘big year’ after welcoming his second child with wife Jazz Charton in August.

‘I’ve got to say, my wife has been really supportive and wonderful throughout this process, but I’ve had this feeling that she’s been terrified for me,’ Kieran continued.

‘Just very nervous. I think she thinks I’m going to mess up or something. But I just want to assure you that everything is going to be fine… Even if I do mess up and “shame the family”, we’re going to be okay.’

Saturday Night Live airs on NBC in the US.
