Bridgerton fans have become enraged after listening into Queen Charlotte and witnessing a plethora of sex scenes.

This series, a precursor to the massively famous period drama, centres on young Queen Charlotte’s ascent to popularity and power, as well as her romance with King George (Corey Mylchreest).

In the six-part series, Golda Rosheuvel reprises her role as the queen, while India Amarteifio plays a younger version of the figure.

Since its debut on Thursday, excited fans have wasted no time in checking in, but some were taken aback by how many sexual moments there were.

While the first Bridgerton saw Simon Basset (Rege-Jean Page) and Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) strip off numerous times as they got to know each other better, fans were disappointed when the sauciness didn’t carry over to the second season.

Queen Charlotte, on the other hand, appears to have delivered, with over 20 sex scenes spread between the six episodes.

The first occurs in the second episode, which also features the show’s first homosexual love affair, when two of the King and Queen’s slaves get together.

Charlotte climbs on top of George (Corey Mylchreest) in the bath in another scene, leading to some wet and crazy moments.

Even before watching, some fans expressed their desire for sexual encounters.

‘I hope this one has a lot of sex in it, not gonna lie,’ one person posted on Twitter.

‘I’m only on episode 3 and there has been more sex than both seasons of Bridgeton combined,’ someone else pointed out.

Another added: ‘This s*** got me sweating.’

India said last week that she had some difficult moments after seeing her sex scenes with her mother.

When she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, India, 21, advised her family members to pick up some alcohol before watching the show.

After being questioned more by the talk show host as to why, she explained that some of the scenes are a ‘little bit racy and not for the eyes’.

She added that it was a ‘bonding experience like no other’ tuning in with her mum.

‘I just felt like I needed to jump in the deep end and show her all the steamy scenes and get it out of the way and then we can get past it,’ she explained.

The actress then quipped that she had contemplated making a spreadsheet for her loved ones to identify exactly where they’needed to stop and then resume’ viewing the episode.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton story is now streaming on Netflix.
