On Saturday night, the Princess of Wales made an unexpected appearance in the start of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 grand final.
Kate Middleton was seen on the piano performing a brief musical song composed by Joe Price and Kojo Samuel in a blink and you’ll miss it moment.
The tape, which lasted about 10 seconds, was shot earlier this month in Windsor Castle’s Crimson Drawing Room, according to Kensington Palace.
Fans were shocked to witness Kate’s entrance.
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: ‘What alternate universe have I been transported to where the UK is hosting Eurovision year and Kate Middleton is making a cameo in the intro?!’
Another added: ‘Kate Middleton covering stefania on the piano was not on my Eurovision 2023 bingo card but here we are.’
Following the unexpected cameo, the official Twitter account for the Prince and Princess of Wales tweeted: ‘A #Eurovision surprise
‘A pleasure to join Kalush Orchestra in a special performance of last year’s winning @eurovision.’

The Eurovision final for this year is currently underway at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.
As the countries competing stepped onto the stage with their national flags, the Chemical Brothers’ Hey Boy Hey Girl played.
Former Ukrainian finalists Go_A, Tina Karol, and Jamala, who won for Ukraine in 2016, performed between the candidates taking part in the flag procession.
After the final participant, the United Kingdom’s Mae Muller, onto the stage, the audience was treated to a performance by Verka Serduchka, who competed for Ukraine in 2007.
