Oti Mabuse announced her pregnancy to her husband Marius Iepure live on TV in an absolutely touching moment.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 33, and Marius, 40, announced on Saturday that they were expecting their first child together with a beautiful Instagram post expressing their joy.
Not only that, but the TV personality also announced the news on her own show, ITV’s Oti Mabuse’s Breakfast Show.
Oti finished her presentation by bringing on hubby Marius and informing guests and viewers they had some ‘wonderful news.’
‘We’re having a kid!’ she said. Her bulge was successfully covered by a pink-and-brown striped design, as she and Marius pointed to her tummy.
Oti’s guests were overcome with pleasure, cheering and chanting as an emotional Oti dried her eyes.
And the emotional moment was made even better by actress Chizzy Akudolu asking cheekily: ‘Is it Marius’s?!’
Congratulations have poured in from Oti and the programme’s followers, with many rushing to the footage on Instagram to offer their support.
One person called it ‘THE BEST NEWS,” while another said it was ‘wonderful.’
‘Massive congratulations,’ another wrote alongside a series of crying emojis,
In a joint statement with Marius, Oti also revealed her pregnancy on her own Instagram account.
In the joyous social media post, they wrote: ‘Our “yes” year is getting better and better and so is our little family 👶🏽.
‘We feel finally ready and excited to share our wonderful news. This is new for us scarier than swimming with sharks, jumping off cliffs or even swinging from bridges but the best news we could have ever ask for ❤️’
She concluded: ‘We love our little bundle of joy so much already… and can’t wait to see what our future will now look like as family of 3 plus leo 😍🐶 it’s been a beautiful journey so far with close friends and family and nearly over but we have learnt a lot a long the way….’
It seems there’s not long to go before Oti welcomes her first child, as she joked ‘Christmas is about to get even louder!’
Oti and Marius met in Germany while working as dance partners, and they married in 2014.
The next year, dancer Oti entered Strictly Come Dancing, and she and Marius relocated to the UK together; she has since found considerable success in presenting, including her self-titled Saturday morning programme.
