Piers Morgan has been praised by fans for his recent interview with Joan Collins on Life Stories, and now the presenter has revealed the dream guest he wishes he could have interviewed.

It came during a Twitter exchange with fans after the legendary actress was a guest on the latest episode of the tell-all series, in which she celebrated 70 years in the entertainment industry.

Despite Dame Joan shutting Piers down as he attempted to ask her about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the episode won praise from viewers.

The episode also led one viewer to ask Piers who would be his dream guest of the past century.

‘If you could interview anyone from the last 100 years on Life Stories who would it be?’ the fan wrote on Twitter.

His answer? Britain’s wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

While he didn’t go into further detail, Piers previously locked horns with Jedward over Winston Churchill’s statue in Parliament Square.

After police were seen guarding the statue of the late prime minister on Sunday, Jedward’s John and Edward tweeted that it had ‘no place in today’s society’.

‘Churchill saved Britain from the Nazis & contributed more to society every time he breathed than you talentless disrespectful clowns have done in your combined 58 years of gormless tuneless imbecility,’ Piers wrote back in March.

Meanwhile, the most recent episode of Life Stories saw one frank exchange between Piers and Dame Joan, which came after Piers asked her about the Royal family.

The 88-year-old had a savage response to the question, as she said: ‘My lips are sealed on that subject, I just don’t want to go on national TV and say what I think about Meghan and Harry, because look what happened to you.’

‘Exactly, thank you,’ Piers then said, as the audience applauded Dame Joan’s comments.
