Piers Morgan is still firing shots at Alex Beresford following their clash on Good Morning Britain which took place hours before the host quit.
In March, Alex confronted Piers over his venom towards Meghan Markle when he dismissed her claims that she had suicidal thoughts which were ignored by Buckingham Palace.
The row caused Piers to literally storm off the set, riled by the ‘personal criticism’ on air.
Appearing on Australia’s Today Programme, Piers called Alex a ‘deputy, stand in weather person’.
‘Most people think I never came back,’ said Piers, referring to his notorious strop.
‘I actually did come back a few minutes later and we had an interesting conversation.’

‘I don’t know if you have a deputy weather person… if you had a deputy stand in weather person suddenly letting you have it in a personal way, I suspect you wouldn’t like it either,’ he continued to host Karl Stefanovic.
‘I thought “you know what, I will say something I will regret”.
‘I don’t mind guests piling into me that’s fair game but not friendly fire from your own team. I wasn’t having that.’
Piers remarks about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sparked a record number of complaints to TV watchdog Ofcom, which also confirmed it received a complaint from the couple themselves.

Since Piers’ departure, Adil Ray has largely been holding the fort alongside Susanna Reid while Richard Madeley is currently co-hosting with Piers’ former ‘TV wife’.
But ratings have continued to slide since GMB broke its own record by reaching 1.65 million viewers on Piers’ last day.
Last week, just 450,000 people tuned in on June 1.
‘I don’t take any pleasure in that,’ Piers stressed.
‘There’s been five years building up those ratings, ironically on the last day we beat the BBC which has always been my mission.
‘In a way I scaled the mountain but they are certainly flying very fast down the other side.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
