Following his departure from ITV, Phillip Schofield is said to have employed a trusted team of accountants to assist him with his money.
The 61-year-old TV host disappeared from public view following the disclosure of his ”unwise but not criminal’ romance with a younger runner on This Morning, which led to his resignation from the show and other ventures.
He was also dropped by his 35-year agent, YMU, as well as The Prince’s Trust, where he was an ambassador, and lost sponsorship arrangements.
‘Telly was my safe area, the one thing I loved,’ he told The Sun in his first complete interview since admitting to the affair. I’m not sure I’ll ever work on television again.’
According to The Mirror, Phil has enlisted the aid of Sedulo, a business that specialises in assisting high-net-worth clients in growing their money, to manage his riches.
The charges, according to Phillip’s attorney Jonathan Coad, are ‘total rubbish.’
This comes after Holly Willoughby was said to be taking over as host of This Morning alongside a rotating cast of co-presenters if ITV decides not to replace Schofield.
According to reports, the Wylde Moon creator, 42, will be the sole regular fixture on the long-running programme, and will be joined’mostly’ by Josie Gibson, 38, and Craig Doyle, 52.
Alison, 48, and Dermot, 50, who present the show on Fridays, are said to be joining the Dancing on Ice host’sporadically.’
Following Phil’s admission, This Morning has been shaken by allegations of ‘toxicity’ from former stars Dr Ranj Singh and Eamonn Holmes, with the former saying he was forced out after raising concerns with ITV managers.
During a parliamentary committee hearing, ITV chief executive Carolyn McCall addressed claims regarding the program’s culture.
Shooting down the accusations, she said: ‘What I know is that when we talk about culture it’s incredibly important to me, personally and so it deeply disappoints me, right?
‘But we do not recognise that in This Morning and the reason for that is that we have tangible evidence to tell you that the vast majority of people at daytime and at This Morning are engaged.’
