Phillip Schofield predicts Ofcom complaints for Dr Chris’ theory over new rub-on gel viagra

Phillip Schofield has joked there will be Ofcom complaints about Dr Chris Steele’s theory concerning rub-on gel for male impotence, an alternative for viagra that he thinks could also have an effect on women.

On Thursday’s edition of This Morning, Phillip and Holly Willoughby welcomed resident doctor Dr Chris onto the show to discuss several medical topics.

One of the subjects they spoke about was a rub-on gel for male impotence called MED3000, which he said has been approved in Europe.

Dr Chris explained that when rubbed onto the end of the penis, the gel can produce an erection within 10 minutes, which he explained was six times faster than viagra and ‘more spontaneous’.

After telling Holly and Phillip that 12,000 men have ‘successfully used’ this product, Dr Chris revealed the hypothesis he has about how it could also impact women.

‘The man has this gel on the end of his penis. Of course, this is going to be introduced to the women’s genitalia, and I just wonder [if] it’s going to cause engorgement of a woman’s genitalia, maybe heighten her response during sex. I don’t know – it’s only an idea,’ Dr Chris said.

Holly commented that the topic was ‘interesting’, stating that ‘they must have done lots of research’.

‘I bet they did,’ Phillip responded, before quipping: ‘Good morning Ofcom, you’re welcome.’

Earlier on in the show, Holly and Phillip discussed the easing of lockdown restrictions on Monday March 29, when people in England will be allowed once more to meet in groups of six or two households.

While the pair are excited to socialise in larger groups, Phillip heavily chastised the fact that the rule change is happening on Monday, rather than at a weekend.

‘What were they thinking, doing it on a Monday?’ Phillip asked.

‘That’s what they were thinking, that’s exactly what they were thinking,’ Holly responded.

‘Why not do it on a Sunday you miserable devils?’ Phillip stated incredulously.

‘I guess they’re just eking it out in the hope that you won’t do anything for another week,’ Holly speculated.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
