Phillip Schofield bewildered after This Morning guest reveals ‘inner struggles’ based on his doodles

Phillip Schofield didn’t know how to feel after a handwriting expert claimed there were ‘inner struggles’ within him based on his drawings.

During Wednesday’s This Morning, graphologist Tracey Trussell joined the 60-year-old presenter alongside Holly Willoughby where she analysed their handwriting as well as their illustrations.

Phillip’s ‘complex’ maze drawing was the first up, and Tracey dubbed his artwork as a sign of his ‘inner struggles’ and ‘battles.’

‘Sometimes they’re based on common sense, it’s like you’re trying to get out of the maze. Which is quite interesting,’ she said.

A bemused Phillip, who clearly wasn’t sure how to respond to the analysis, simply joked: ‘I don’t know what you mean.’

Looking at the host’s second picture of a tree, Tracey added: ‘A tree actually represents the whole of you and we don’t have all day, so I could tell you all about yourself from that tree.

‘Fine. I’m free after the show,’ Phillip quipped.

‘What makes that particularly interesting is the fence all around it, which is quite protective,’ Tracey added.

‘That’s showing the protection of yourself, and that’s very much reflected in your ordinary handwriting.’

The expert was also fascinated by the way Holly wrote the letter ‘d’ on her sample which apparently showed more things about her character.

‘There’s one interesting little thing here… the tepee shape shows that you can be quite stubborn,’ she said.

‘I can, just ask my husband!’ laughed Holly.

‘Flowers are quite a popular doodle and they’re all about your social life, your friendships,’ Tracey added.

‘But yours is interesting because the middle bit shows a warm heart that sometimes gets a little bit anxious, you do worry about things sometimes because you’ve shaded it in.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
