A 67-year-old pensioner who went viral after having his first go at crowd surfing during a Killers concert has said he wouldn’t mind doing it all over again.
Doug James, from Sale, Greater Manchester, travelled further than he thought he would in the arms of his fellow revellers at the Old Trafford cricket ground gig on Saturday.
Wearing a red fleece and jeans, Doug managed to temporarily halt the gig when he fell over the barrier and hit his head.
His antics saw front man Brandon Flowers rush over to check he was okay before giving him a hug.
Interviewed by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on Tuesday’s This Morning, the retired engineer remained on brand in a Killers T-shirt as he recalled the ‘amazing’ feeling of crowd surfing.
Confessing that he thought he was going to get kicked out, he recalled: ‘When I came on the other side of the barriers, I thought I was going to be I trouble, I thought: “Oh no, there’s me going to be expelled, kicked out.”’
As he turned to thank the crowd for giving him the experience though, he missed Mr Brightside singer Flowers jumping off the stage to check on him.
‘I just turned round and her was there!’ he said.
The pair embraced and the band’s official Twitter account later shared a picture of Doug after the concert, writing in the caption, ‘There’s no age limit for rock ‘n roll!’
Discussing if he would have another go at crowd surfing, Doug appeared to be up for it, although it seemed he wasn’t so sure his wife would be.

‘Well, I wouldn’t mind because I’ve seen all this fantastic publicity you get,’ he joked. ‘But I think my wife was going to say no!’
Elsewhere on the show, Phillip was reunited with his former co-star Sarah Greene to open a Blue Peter time capsule, however things didn’t quite go to plan.
Buried by schoolchildren in 1981 in the carpark of Television Centre, it appeared that most of its contents had disintegrated into brown sludge.
