Olivia Attwood has acknowledged that ‘talks’ regarding her comeback to I’m A Celebrity have occurred.
For medical concerns, the reality TV regular, 32, was pulled from the programme just one day into the 2022 season.
While Olivia did not confirm if she will return to the jungle this year, she did concede that discussions regarding a possible return had taken place.
‘We’ve had talks,’ the former Love Island star admitted on Monday’s Loose Women when Judi Love enquired about a return.
The crowd, clearly moved by Olivia’s revelation, said, ‘Oooh!’
Olivia had low blood pressure and other worrying measures during a regular health check on the ITV programme last year, which meant insurers refused to cover her tenure on the show.
Speaking about her departure from the jungle in February on Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast, she shared: ‘It was basically a massive f**k up really. I was in there, I was fine, and they do routine medicals every few days.
‘They do them on site with the paramedics, and big hospitals would say [their measurements are] a guideline.
‘We’d had a really long day and I’m always on the lower end of blood pressure because I’m tall and slim, and they just did all these tests late one evening, and they were just like, they were worried about these tests.
‘They were like, “Everything is really low.” ‘
She added about getting the all-clear from a hospital: ‘They took me to a private hospital and they tested me, and they were like, “We’re happy.”
‘So we had an overnight debate because the insurers were like, “The tests dropped this low.”
‘The hospitals sometime say, “Take it with a pinch of salt,” and the insurance said no because if she collapses… So it was basically red tape.’
She added about weeping all the way back from the jungle: ‘I don’t cry… and I cried the whole way back from Australia – the whole flight.’
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for Olivia’s return to the jungle this year!
