It has been reported that Bruno Tonioli, the new judge on Britain’s Got Talent, was “told off” on his first day, but the choreographer claims to “love” his new position.

After David Walliams left his hosting role on the show, the ITV talent competition welcomed the former Strictly Come Dancing judge this week.

Now he’ll be on the panel with Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden instead of David Walliams.

The 67-year-antics old’s on Strictly made him a fan favourite over the years, with fans at home and the BBC studio audience laughing uncontrollably at his repeated leaps from his chair to show dancing routines.

According to reports, fellow judge Alesha Dixon scolded him during the audition stage of the new season, suggesting that he would not be slowing down any time soon on BGT.

During the performance, the 44-year-old singer reportedly had to order Bruno to sit back down and physically force him back onto his seat, as reported by The Sun.

The article claims that Alesha and Amanda Holden, both 51 years old, complained that Bruno was too hard on the contestants during the audition process before they pressed Bruno’s golden buzzer during a performance.

According to rumours, 63-year-old Simon Cowell punched his golden buzzer after being encouraged to do so by Bruno, who repeatedly pressed his own to attempt to get the judges’ attention.

After Bruno placed stress on the other judges by continually pressing his, Simon pressed his, sending an act on to the live semi-finals later this year.

‘I’ve had so much fun, I’ve already been told off. I’m loving it!’ Bruno’s declared.

When Bruno entered the BGT theatre for the first time, he thanked the crowd for waiting. I really appreciate everyone coming out to support me and the judges, I really do.

‘Here we are, Britain’s Got Talent,’ he said in a statement. ‘I am so excited. It’s my first show, I have no idea what’s going to happen, but I’m sure it’s going to be brilliant.’

Britain’s Got Talent is set to return later this year on ITV.
