Finally released, the new Big Brother logo is a vibrant masterpiece.
After months of rumours, AJ Odudu and Will Best have been formally announced as the new hosts, but information regarding the much awaited ITV2 revival are few.
The renowned reality programme, however, appears to be on its way back to our screens as fans got their first look at the brand-new Big Brother eye.
And it definitely catches the eye!
Co-host Will has hinted at a format shift, so this isn’t the only change coming to the BB relaunch.
Will, 38, said ahead of his debut: ‘It’s going back to being real people.’
‘The focus of this is it’s going to be an entertainment show, but it’s going to be fun and funny with all of that emotion and realness that you get with Big Brother,’ he added to The Sun.
Big Brother’s producers want to recreate the ‘golden era’ of the programme when it returns.
According to reports, “Love Island wannabes” were passed over for the relaunch of the show.
‘Bosses have been blown away by the interest in Big Brother – but it shouldn’t be surprising given it’s the original reality show,’ an insider said.
They continued to The Sun: ‘The casting team and producers are now in the final selection stages and have shortlisted their favourite applicants.
‘So far the potential housemates selected are diverse and reflective of the population.
‘They’re hoping long-time fans of the show and new viewers are represented on screen.’
The procedure has been “nearly completed,” the source continued, even though applications have been “extended for the final time.”
Davina McCall hosted the popular reality show when it first in 2000, and Emma Willis hosted it till its conclusion in 2018.
Big Brother launches on ITV2 later this year.
