Beef, Netflix’s latest comedy, has received a rare flawless 100 rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and we completely understand why.
Amy Lau (Ali Wong) and Danny Cho (Steven Yeun) clash during a road rage incident in the 10-part drama. They are, however, surprised to find that they have more in common than they know.
Furthermore, the streaming service has described the comedy as a ‘edgy, witty, vengeance story,’ and fans would undoubtedly agree.
Beef presently has a flawless 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating, indicating that it is a must-see for TV fans.
Despite only being available on Netflix for three days, the programme has already been dubbed the “best thing I’ve seen all year.”
An enthused fan tweeted: ‘BeefNetflix is some of the best TV I’ve seen in a while. @steveyeun and @aliwong need all the EMMYS bc this show is BRILLIANT. Ya’ll DID THATTTTTTTT!!!! WATCH IT on @netflix !! BRAVOOOOO.’
‘I hope y’all are watching #BEEFNetflix. There has never been anything like this before. Amazing work. What a cast!,’ another added.
A third added: ‘A series that you didn’t know you needed. Steven Yeun and Ali Wong with exceptional performances and Netflix has hit a jackpot again with this just like it did with Wednesday. The Emmys better be ready for them.’
Speaking about his character’s personality, The Walking Dead actor Steven said: ‘Danny is someone who’s trying to do a good job and do what he thinks he’s supposed to do, but from his eyes, it just seems like the world is out to take him down, and I can relate to that.’
While things in Amy’s life were pretty smooth, things went awry for the character, as explained by comedian Alo who said: ‘I think what really resonated with me was the rage that these two characters feel, especially for Amy, whose life is so seemingly perfect.
‘You just never know what’s going on in someone’s head and in someone’s personal life.’
