Netflix subscribers have started watching Witness Number 3, but they have been advised to obey one guideline.
The criminal drama first aired on Channel 5 last year before being picked up by the worldwide streaming site.
The frightening series follows Jodie (Nina Toussaint-White), a young mother and hairdresser who sees a man’s death and comes forward to offer police testimony.
However, when investigators decide to keep her name hidden, referring to her simply as Witness Number 3, she realises the case is far more perilous than she had expected.
Viewers, who have described the drama as ‘wild’, are all issuing the same warning on X, formerly known as Twitter, and it’s this: ‘If you’re watching Witness Number 3 on Netflix do NOT watch it alone like I have.’
Another fan confessed: ‘Wide awake at this time … watching witness number 3 on Netflix wasn’t the best idea.’
‘Need to conduct a mindfulness meditation or anything to calm myself down after watching two episodes of #WitnessNumber3,’ said a third.
Of course, Witness Number 3 is not the only Netflix series that has received warnings.
The worldwide streamer even joined in on the act, issuing a hilarious tweet about Richard Armitage’s lusty character humping a cushion in BDSM thriller Obsession.

Netflix has issued a warning to viewers who have made the ‘questionable’ decision to watch Obsession with their parents, revealing the exact times when they should leave the room and put the kettle on.
Obviously, there was the pillow incident, as well as a few other eye-opening experiences you don’t want to discuss with your mother.
‘This is very useful, can all programmes come with this please?’ responded one fan while another said it was too much just watching with his wife.
Witness Number 3 is available to stream on Netflix.
