Sue Radford is on vacation with her huge family in Florida, which has been devastated by a hurricane.
Some of her admirers expressed anxiety following the warnings, but Sue, 48, assured them that they are secure.
She wrote on Instagram stories: ‘Lots of messages about the hurricane. So far we are all ok but keeping a close eye on the news for updates’.
Hurricane Idalia made landfall in Florida’s Big Bend area on Wednesday morning, becoming the state’s first significant hurricane.
On Tuesday, Idalia became a Category 2 system, then a Category 3 on Wednesday, before rising to a Category 4 and finally weakening somewhat to a high-end Category 3.
Four states have declared states of emergency as Idalia moves over Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, with gusts reaching 130 mph.
Despite the disaster, Sue, her husband Noel, 52, and their children have been enjoying themselves in Florida amusement parks.
She’s been updating her 516k followers on their action-packed vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, which includes viewing gigantic fireworks, eating giant hot dogs, riding rollercoasters, and having a great time with her family.
After such a hectic holiday schedule, the family decided to relax by the pool at their hotel.
However, the day didn’t start off well when their daughter Daisy had to go to the doctor for an earache.
Noel explained on their YouTube channel: ‘Poor old Daisy was just starting to complain of an earache yesterday. She had some calpol yesterday and seemed to be okay, but today she’s been in an awful lot of pain.’
The worried dad drove her to the nearest medical facility, but he acknowledged he was ‘dreading’ the price.
‘It was $250 for the consultation, and then the antibiotics itself they were another $45. It could have been a lot worse I suppose.’
He then revealed that he intended to collect part of the money spent on insurance, but that he would lose the excess.
They’re used to taking vacations and coping with whatever comes up, since Flordia is their 18th vacation in almost as many months.
Since December 2021, the family, whose eldest is 34 and youngest is three, has visited – wait for it – Cornwall twice, the Lake District four times, Disney World three times, Scotland, and Lapland.
In the last 12 months, they’ve also visited Legoland, Alton Towers, the Maldives, New York, and France.
