Nicola’s captivating fit – created by Richard Quinn – featured an embroidered and feathered pink and black ball gown with a matching cape and black gloves.
The star evidently put the feathers in [Penelope] Featherington – which is a reference to her character in the Netflix regency drama.
Speaking to influencer Emma Chamberlain about her look, she said: ‘It’s very 3D. If I don’t like someone I can just shoulder them and they’ll get a feather in the eye.
‘Most threatening person at the Met Gala 2022.’
Elsewhere, Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour reprised her role as supervisor of the event, a role she’s maintained since 1995, alongside co-chairs Tom Ford and Adam Mosseri.
This year’s theme was In America: An Anthology of Fashion, which comes from the Costume Institute’s current exhibit, and is the second from star curator Andrew Bolton, which aims to explore the roots of American style.

Co-chairs Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds made the best couple appearance after the Deadpool actor was left stunned by his wife’s dress transformation.
