Maya Jama shows off luxurious Fiji hotel after landing to film Love Island spin-off

Maya Jama has spent the summer travelling across Europe and has now arrived in Fiji to film a new Love Island spin-off.

The TV personality, 29, announced last month that she was back together with ex-boyfriend Stormzy, 30, four years after they split up.

The pair was pictured hand-in-hand in Greece after fueling suspicions of a reunion with teasing social media photos from the same destination.

Maya is already back at work, heading to Fiji to shoot Love Island Games, which will include Islanders from the franchise’s different worldwide versions participating in various tasks.

Former competitors will tackle team and pair tasks in the revised special, all while managing dating, eliminations, recoupling, and dramatic new arrivals.

Maya shared several updates while travelling on Friday, joking that she was’still in the air’ and bemoaning her long voyage.

However, she quickly released some footage from the sun and then from her hotel room in Fiji.

‘Well, would you look at that, what a lovely lovely room to come to,’ she was heard saying as giving a tour of her new digs.

‘This is my room for the next month and my feet are finally on the ground.’

She then posted a shot of a pool area before releasing the Love Island Games teaser.

However, Maya quickly began tweeting photographs and videos from around the resort as she attempted to overcome jet lag.

‘Just gotta try stay awake till nighttime, now I’m delirious,’ she wrote.

Maya then spent some time by the pool before watching several performances at the hotel bar, explaining that she was ‘pushing herself to stay up’ so she could line up with the time zone.

While the cast for the series has yet to be announced, Megan Barton Hanson and Curtis Pritchard have been rumoured to have joined the show, which will feature past stars from the UK, US, and Australian editions.

‘Megan and Curtis are both amazing signings for the spin-off and bosses are rubbing their hands together that they agreed to take part,’ a source told The Sun.

They added the pair were two of the franchise’s ‘most memorable contestants ever’.

Love Island Games premieres on Wednesday November 1 on Peacock.
