Jama thinks Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury prove Love Island can find soulmates.
The 28-year-old ITV dating show presenter debuted last year.
Maya watched Laura Whitmore, 38,’s 2019 season of Molly-Mae and Tommy from home, and she still loves the charming duo.
The host opened Love Island: Aftersun on Sunday (July 23) by congratulating Molly-Mae and Tommy, both 24, who announced their engagement online an hour earlier.
Tommy kneeled on a clifftop with a sea view, surrounded by white flowers and his infant daughter Bambi.
Yes, Molly-Mae cried and hugged her future husband.
Addressing the monumental Love Island moment, Maya said: ‘Before we get into the chat, I’ve got some breaking news, everyone!
‘If you haven’t been on Instagram, Molly-Mae and Tommy have just got engaged! Congratulations!’
‘See, Love Island works!’, she declared.
‘They’ve got a baby, engagement, just a happy ever after!’
Co-star Sam Thompson then chimed in: ‘Money!’
‘Loads of money! All of that stuff!’, Maya joked.
The host was one of the first to congratulate the pair after they announced their engagement to their millions of fans.
She commented on Instagram: ‘WE LOVE TO SEE IT! 😍😍😍❤️ congratulations you cuteys’.
Other Love Island stars were also keen to shower them with love, as Gemma Owen wrote: ‘Congratulations 🤍🤍’
Tasha Ghouri commented: ‘congratulations!!!! 😍❤️❤️’
Amber Gill, who won Molly-Mae and Tommy’s series four years ago, wrote: ‘Congrats you two babes 🥹🥹 always the cutest videos’.
After four years of dating, Molly-Mae and Tommy had their first child in January.
Tommy proposed romantically despite years of persuasion.
Tommy had said he intended to propose sooner but had to delay due to his athletic commitments.
However, he assured the Loose Men panel earlier this year that he is ‘100% ready for marriage!’
Love Island couples have married before.
Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland (2016 runners-up) married in 2018, Dom Lever and Jess Shears (2017 series) married in 2018, and Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt (series 3) married in 2021, to mention a few!
