Will Young of Love Island said that Maya Jama joked that someone’s career was on the line when Will and Jessie Wynter’s eviction was announced before the show aired.
On the last episode, the 28-year-old host said that she will be speaking with ‘dumped islanders’ Jessie and Will.
Naturally, the Love Island fans weren’t happy, as one tweeted: ‘are the producers okay… why’d they just ruin it on aftersun’.
‘NOT THE AFTER SUN ADVERT REVEALING THE DUMBED COUPLE BEFORE THE DUMPINGS BEEN SHOWN’, wrote another.
During the latest episode of the Saving Grace podcast, the host asked Will: “I don’t know what happened on Aftersun, but they f**ked up because…Did you guys hear about it when Aftersun was going on?’
The 23-year-old farmer replied: ‘Yeah Maya kind of spoke to us and went, “Something’s going on, someone’s gonna get fired!”‘
Grace later asked: ‘Was there hysteria or was it fine?’ and the TV personality claimed that the interviewees were ‘chilling’ in the little cabin and didn’t witness any drama.
‘I bet there was hysteria,’ Grace said as Will responded: ‘Yeah, someone was in trouble!’
Despite not making it to the final, which was won by Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, Jessie and Will have been inseparable, and Will recently revealed insight on his relationship while also addressing sexuality rumours.
Speaking to The Mirror, Will added: ‘My brother is gay, and so I’m all for it. I don’t think anyone can say that to me in a negative way.
‘As a person, I’m very outgoing and charismatic, and I’m not going to change.’
Jessie also had her say, and quipped: ‘It’s 2023, and judging people’s sexuality is outdated and needs to get out of the window.’
Love Island is available to stream on ITVX.
