Maya Jama and Stormzy have finally announced their reunion with a flawless Instagram Story.
While it seemed evident that the Love Island host, 29, and the Vossi Bop artist, 30, had rekindled their romance, the duo had kept silent since being sighted on vacation in Greece.
But on Saturday, the Dolce & Gabanna face posted the rapper for the first time since their reunion on social media – and it made everyone’s heart melt.
Stormzy was seen standing by his car, brandishing a poster of Maya’s bombshell fashion campaign and a banner that said ‘Maya Jama #1 fan’ as he picked her up from the airport.
Maya is heard laughing at the lovely gesture and remarking, ‘You are so cute. Thanks.’
‘Put it down now,’ says the Vogue cover actress, who was previously engaged to basketball superstar Ben Simmons. I’m shy.’
It comes following reports that Stormzy is set to propose.
A source told The Sun: ‘He wants to make her his wifey for lifey. He’s telling his mates this is it for him now, he’s found the one.’
The couple dated between 2015 and 2019, but parted, and Stormzy has always expressed remorse about the termination of their relationship.
He told Louis Theroux in a BBC documentary: ‘It was, like, “OK, you made a mistake and you lose someone you loved, someone you cared for, someone who is special to you.”
‘That’s probably the biggest loss a man can have, isn’t it? There were other things in terms of mistakes I’d made. I didn’t do what a man should do to fully appreciate, love and care for his woman.’
Maya also told Vogue of their relationship: ‘None of us really knew the level of importance it held to a certain group of people, us being together.
‘We were both super ambitious. We were both from similar upbringings and we were both just little grafters that have made something good of ourselves. It was lovely when it was lovely, and then you move.’
