Martin Lewis has announced that his ITV show, The Martin Lewis Money Show Live, will return for a one-time special this summer.

Fans have expressed relief at the show’s return, claiming that the gap between season 13 in March and the next season in October was far too long.

The 51-year-old financial expert revealed that after’many’ viewers complained to ITV, the broadcaster decided to reverse their hiatus decision and relaunch the programme in just a few months.

Martin announced on X: ‘When I announced that the @itvMLshow series was ending and we wouldn’t be back until October, many of you complained that was too long for the show to be off air in the current environment.

‘Thank you. I put those to ITV. And we’ve now got a one off catch up special in June :)’

The Bafta-nominated show has been running since 2012, and it is hosted by a financial journalist and broadcaster who teaches viewers how to make their money go further.

From tips on how to get £15 per month for free to warnings about ISAs, the show teaches viewers how to be financially savvy in today’s market.

Others weren’t certain whether this one off special would be enough, and many insisted they needed more advice from the money expert in the coming months given the economic climate.

@JaneKesseru commented: ‘You really need to be on every week or at least fortnightly. There is so much going on, your advice helps us navigate through it all.’

@susiefos added: ‘We need the truth and you help us to sort things out Feel as though our life raft has been cut and floating away. So sad that there is only one program at such an important time.’

The UK is still experiencing a cost-of-living crisis, with many families struggling to afford basic necessities. Although National Insurance has been reduced by 2p, many believe that Jeremy Hunt’s Spring Budget did not go far enough to alleviate the financial hardship that many people in the UK are experiencing.

The Martin Lewis Show Live returns to ITV in June.
