Martin Lewis, a financial guru, is enjoying a well-deserved holiday from encouraging everyone to save money.
Martin needs some recuperation, which involves suspending his ITV programme Martin Lewis Money Show, just as our financial balances do after a Saturday night out.
Martin, 51, tweeted his intention to temporarily leave our life.
‘Bye for now,’ he began.
‘I’m signing off for a few weeks to take a break, from social media and work, for a battery recharge’.
In a very Martin move he also offered a final piece of advice – he was never going to leave us without a final word!
‘I’ll be leaving all the MoneySaving, any interest rate or price cap change news in the brilliantly capable hands of the @MoneySavingExp team – while I try and stay radio silent,’ he explained.
‘Meantime pls be wary of criminals who in the past ramped up scam-ads with me in when I’m not posting. And if you spot them, do report them to the platform. Take care. Martin.’

We still have to wait at least two months for the live programming to return to the box after the last episodes broadcast in June.
Martin regularly hosts Good Morning Britain as well. He recently took a break from the regularly scheduled presentation to read aloud a touching letter he had just received.
The unnamed author praised Martin for disclosing details regarding a legal amendment that resulted in a large financial windfall.
‘I had some tears in my eyes last night – I’ve had a stressful couple of weeks and I got a lovely message,’ he told co-host Susanna Reid.
Susanna, 52, also heaped the praise on Martin calling him the ‘cost of living crisis hero in action’ and added, ‘not all heroes wear capes, some don’t even wear ties’.
