A former Married at First Sight contestant has been detained on suspicion of trafficking nearly a kilogramme of methamphetamine.
Sebastian Guilhaus was paired with Elizabeth Sobinoff on the seventh season of the Australian edition of the reality dating show in 2020.
He’s continued to work in the fitness sector and grow his social media following in the years since.
The 35-year-old identifies himself on Instagram as a “Athlete, Creator, and Thought Provoker.”
However, following his reality TV stint, he made headlines this week after being detained on suspicion of trafficking $90,000 (£46,000) worth of meth.
Guilhaus was arrested at his house in South Australia and later freed on home detention bail.
While the police did not object to his release, the court ordered him to wear an electronic monitoring device.
He is also prohibited from using illegal drugs and must submit to random drug tests.
The former reality star has yet to enter a plea to charges of commercial trafficking of a controlled substance.
Guilhaus released a series of videos on Instagram after his arrest in which he discussed how he was dealing with mental health concerns in the aftermath of being accused.
Beginning by thanking everyone who had ‘checked in’ on him and had ‘gone above and beyond’ by offering character references, he went on to say he’d had a ‘very painful week’.
He then apologised for the ‘stress caused to family and friends’.
‘I am just settling into the reality of the situation. I am trying to connect and make sure my family are okay,’ he continued.
‘I am not going to comment on the situation because it’s ongoing and I don’t want to impede that process.
‘I am just concentrating on the controllable, forging a new daily routine, training two to four hours a day, what I am eating.’
He went on to explain that he was ‘starting to battle’ his ADHD and ‘other mental health issues’ head on and said he would ‘overcome this hurdle’, which he saw as a ‘period of growth and healing’.
Guilhaus was a personal trainer before joining the subscription-based adult website OnlyFans and embarking on a career as a pornographic performer.

His most recent OnlyFans endeavour was a collaboration with fellow MAFS actress Hayley Vernon, who has also moved into porn since their time on the programme.
Detective Superintendent Billy Thompson, the Serious and Organised Crime Branch officer in command of the narcotics bust, characterised the 870g of meth recovered following the arrest as “substantial.”
‘Methamphetamine causes terrible harm to users and to our communities,’ he said.
‘This seizure is a significant amount and would have a street value of approximately $90,000.
‘Those who traffic illicit drugs in these amounts do so purely for their own greed, they have no care for others.’
Guilhaus played 48 games in the South Australian National Football League prior to his tenure on reality television.
Married at First Sight is streaming on Channel 4.
