Pop star Mariah Carey is apparently a fan of Channel 4’s hit series Gogglebox.
Who would have known?
Taking to her Twitter account the All I Want For Christmas Is You singer shared a clip of Gogglebox favourites Abbie and Georgia.
During Friday night’s episode, the duo were sat on the sofa commenting on all the latest TV shows, including Mariah’s Magical Christmas Special.
And it turns out, they had nothing but praise for the singer as Abbie began: ‘2020 has been saved by Mariah Carey.’
To which Georgia added: ‘And that’s all it took.’
The official Gogglebox account shared the clip to social media, only for it to be retweeted by the US icon herself.
Posting three crying laughter emojis, Mariah penned: ‘Love this.’
We are sure Abbie and Georgia love it too.
The festive special saw the 50-year-old perform a number of Christmas classics including her own All I Want For Christmas Is You.
It even got the Gogglebox cast up on their feet dancing, with Jenny explaining that the song makes her cry.
Siblings Pete and Sophie Sandiford went one step further as they got their microphones and bubble machine out to sing along.
It comes after Mariah’s Christmas song reached the number one spot in the UK charts.
Celebrating the news, Mariah said: ‘Happy Christmas UK!! We finally made it!!! We are keeping the Christmas spirit alive together despite how dismal the year’s been. Love you always! Joy to the world.’
