Despite recent controversy, a guy who had Phillip Schofield’s face tattooed on his buttocks says he doesn’t regret having the ink.
Stockton-on-Matty O’Hagan, a Teesside local, made headlines in 2017 when he went viral for his odd tattoo – a depiction of the former This Morning presenter’s face on an intimate place.
And, despite the current controversy surrounding Phillip, mainly his departure from ITV after confessing to lying about a romance with a young runner on the daytime programme, Matty has ‘no remorse’ and has no plans to get it deleted.
He told BirminghamLive: ‘I don’t have any regrets about getting the tattoo.
‘It has all been a madness to be honest.’
He confessed that the affair controversy didn’t affect him since, while he ‘doesn’t agree with the age disparity… Phil and his colleague were both adults, so in that sense it was up to them.’
Matty has already made headlines for his tattoo, and he even went on CelebrityJuice in 2017 when he originally unveiled the art on his buttocks.
At the time, he told The Sun that he got the tattoo in protest to his housemate Lee getting Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly inked on his buttocks.
He spent three hours with tattooist Steve Bell getting both This Morning hosts, Phil and Holly Willoughby, tattooed into his cheeks, eager to outdo him.
Tattooist Steve said at the time that it was “by far the craziest request” he had ever received for a tattoo.
Holly and Phil are well aware of the tattoo, and were in stitches laughing when they displayed it on an episode of This Morning in 2020.
‘Our faces are tattooed on someone’s bottom, we found it, one on each cheek,’ Holly said on the daytime programme in a September edition, when things were still very much doom, gloom, and lockdown.
And Phil added: ‘He just did it for the craic.’ (Or is that crack.)
