Lyndall Grace and Cam Woods’ turmoil looks to be continuing after a particularly explosive season of Married At First Sight (MAFS) Australia.
At their wedding, carpenter Cam, 27, told the cameras he ‘can’t take the joy from [his] face’ after being coupled with accountant Lyndall, also 27.
However, things began to deteriorate once Cam denied Lyndall physical love, which became a major source of disagreement between the pair.
Cam stated he wasn’t a touchy-feely man, and Lyndall got increasingly irritated as the duo couldn’t seem to address the matter.
It all came to a head at the couple’s final vow readings, when Lyndall confronted Cam about rumours that he was’sexting’ fellow contender Tayla Winter.
She stated unequivocally that she would not be accommodating him in her life, and that she deserved better.
Then, in a MAFS first, before Cam could recite his final vows, Lyndal stated that she would prefer not hear them.
Cam, who stormed out after leaving his vows at Lyndall’s feet, has now revealed what he wrote for his ex.
Appearing on the The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Cam read his words.
‘Never did I ever think in my wildest dreams to marry a stranger in my quest to find love,’ he began.
‘From the moment I laid eyes on you there was an instant connection. You had the warmest of smiles on your face walking down the aisle and I quickly learnt that you love life just as much as I do.
‘I felt that instant spark from day one and I was very intrigued to find out more. Did the experts get it right?
‘You’re kind, empathetic and have a very genuine heart. You always bring a positive vibe to every room. I really like that you give anything a go,’ he continued.
But then came a gear change, where Cam confessed to not seeing a future with Lyndall, expressing his dislike at her handling of situations, which he called ‘airing [their] dirty laundry in a public environment’.
He then explained that he thinks his inability to give Lyndall the affection she craved was because he wasn’t ‘falling in love’ with her.
‘I think these things flow naturally when you’re falling in love which I’m not.’ he explained.
‘I made a promise in my vows to be open and honest. I’d be lying to myself if I stood here today and told you I could see this relationship working beyond today.
‘Lyndall, I appreciate what you’ve taught me about myself, what I’ve learned throughout this experiment, and I know what I want in a life partner.’
Lyndall, who has cystic fibrosis, entered the programme after learning she will live for another 40 years, despite never assuming she would live long enough to marry.
Cam’s marriage to Lyndall was his first such romance, since he worked in the outback of Australia’s Darwin region and struggled to meet women.
Cam has a new girlfriend since leaving the programme, and she seemed to be loving his outdoor lifestyle.
