Luke Bryan has opened up about the rather unconventional baby gift he gave to Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s baby, Daisy Dove.
The country singer and his fellow American Idol judge have become good friends after working together on the show, and it appears Luke was keen to give Katy’s seven-month-old child something that would stand out from the crowd.
During his appearance on Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host asked Luke whether he gave the singer, 36, an air gun as a present for Daisy.
Luke, 44, confirmed that he did present ‘a daisy BB gun’ as he joked: ‘It just seemed to be the right gift.’
When Jimmy asked if Luke thought Katy would ever let her child play with it, Luke responded: ‘No, that will never see the light of day. Maybe under lock and key.’
Idol viewers have come to enjoy Luke and Katy’s friendship, which recently saw the country hitmaker inspected the Fireworks legs to check from hair.

It all began when Katy claimed she has quit shaving her legs after becoming a mom because she no longer has time.
Katy told contestant Cassandra Coleman: ‘As a new mother I don’t have very much time so I’ve quit shaving my legs.
‘But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half. Full body chills! It was amazing.’
The singer then put her legs up on her judge’s table so Luke could have a look before he confirmed: ‘She literally has leg hair.’
