Lucifer fans are still not ready for the show to end for good, and it’s not going to be an easy ride as star D.B. Woodside teased some powerful and heartbraking stuff is on the horizon.

Of course he didn’t reveal much detail about the scene that will put fans in their feelings, or who it involves, but expect it to pack an emotional punch.

Interestingly the actor, who plays angel Amenadiel on the supernatural series, added viewers should ‘keep the faith’ for season six despite the huge and devastating moment that is on the way.

He told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I’d also say there’s going to be something shocking that happens towards the end of 5B that is going to break everyone’s heart.

‘But I would just tell people that, “Hey, we have a season 6. So even though your heart is going to be absolutely smashed at the end of season 5B, keep the faith.”

D.B. was also good enough to tease what we can expect from the arrival of God – namely that he brings up ‘daddy issues that Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Amenadiel have’.

‘Sometimes, the way to clean those up is you have to go through a little bit of pain and emotion and revelations. So I definitely think that that’s going to happen,’ he added.

Filming on the series has wrapped for the final time and the cast said an emotional farewell to the programme after six seasons.

Star Tom said on Instagram on the last day on set: ‘Today is the day. 6 years ago I started a journey with the most amazing group of people and today we say a fond farewell to each other.

‘Thank you to every single crew member who has helped bring the story of Lucifer to life. What a ride.’

Lucifer creators Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich previously revealed that the last ever episode is called ‘Partners ‘Til The End’.

Lucifer is available to stream on Netflix.
