Love Island star Montana Brown has opened up on how her pregnancy was unexpected, after hormone struggles she previously faced.
The reality TV star, 27, recently announced the adorable news that she was pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Mark O’Connor in a short clip shared to Instagram.
Since announcing her pregnancy, Montana has been updating followers and thanking them for her support.
Answering questions on Instagram, she revealed: ‘This was planned, however, I didn’t realise for ages that I was pregnant, because we were trying earlier on in the year and it wasn’t happening.
‘I had loads of tests done through Pippa Campbell, found out I had really low levels of oestrogen and testosterone, which I was really surprised at.’
‘I thought it’s going to take us a bit longer,’ she added, before saying: ‘And then Bob’s your uncle Fanny’s your aunt, it was very very random and unexpected, but it was planned.’
She elsewhere spoke about her early symptoms, feeling ‘sick’ and having ‘hot sweats’ for the ‘first three week’.
‘I had excruciating pain, shooting pain, and that’s why I didn’t think I was pregnant, I was like, this hurts, I thought I had a gall stone or appendicitis or something,’ she said.
In another video, Montana explained being ‘over the moon’ and ‘overjoyed’ when she found out she was pregnant, thinking that it wasn’t ‘that likely’ and Mark had to convince her to take the pregnancy test.
The cute video announcing the happy news last week started at the beach with ‘Baby O’Connor’ written in the sand before it cut to Montana brandishing a positive pregnancy test and beaming with her boyfriend Mark.
She is then seen at one of her first hospital appointments receiving a scan with her bundle of joy displayed clearly on the ultrasound.
Back on the beach, Montana is seen cradling her growing baby bump as she enjoys some quality time with Mark on a romantic break.
The starlet captioned the post, which was soundtracked to James Arthur’s track Heartbeat: ‘Baby O’Connor coming next summer.’
Montana has previously spoken about how romance blossomed with ex-rugby player Mark during the second coronavirus lockdown before going Instagram official in 2021.
Their relationship came after Montana, from Hertfordshire tried to find love on Love Island, back in 2017, coming in fifth place with Alex Beattie.
