Leah Taylor of Love Island became tearful as Sammy Root referred to their previous relationship as a “test.”
During Sunday’s episode, the islanders were shocked by a “surprise” recoupling in which the males chose the girls.
When it came time for Sammy to make a decision, he stated that Leah’s entrance tested his relationship with Jess Harding.
Leah walked inside after the recoupling to vent her displeasure to Molly Marsh.
‘He has been flirting with me a lot but didn’t even say he preferred Jess. He has handled it so badly,’ she said.
‘I feel really upset. I am a human being. He hasn’t been honest with Jess about how open he was with me.’
‘I feel like he’s just handled the situation poorly,’ she told Ella Thomas later during the episode.
Leah approached Sammy after chatting with the girls and stated her feelings.
‘I feel like I’m really confused by the way you’ve behaved,’ she said. ‘Why didn’t you have the decency to say you’re flirting for fun.’
Although some islanders labelled Sammy’s attitude as “protective,” he confessed (in a roundabout way) for making her feel that their bond was just a “little test.”
Fans also felt bad for the 27-year-old after she had her emotional moment, with one person writing: ‘I do feel bad for Leah because Zach, Sammy, Mitchell and Tyrique have basically all used her for flirting practice.’

In other Love Island news, 2016 finalist Kady McDermott is rumoured to be following in Adam Collard’s footsteps and returning to the villa for the second time.
The 27-year-old first featured in the show’s second season, where she paired up with Scott Thomas. They eventually became boyfriend and girlfriend.
