There’s trouble in paradise for Love Island’s Gemma Owen and Luca Bish tonight with spoilers revealing the international dressage rider feels ‘married off’.
Viewers have their suspicions that the 19-year-old contestant will end up back with her ex-boyfriend Jacques O’Neill after he was thrown into the Majorcan villa and they flirted in recent scenes.
To make matters even more complicated, during Tuesday’s episode Luca hugged Gemma… and she accidentally called him Jacques.
In Thursday’s instalment, Gemma pulls her current partner Luca for a chat.
‘You’ve probably noticed I am being a little bit off the last day,’ she tells him.
‘What initially attracted me to you is that you didn’t give a sh*t but I’ve seen a different side to you, which I do like but I don’t want to feel that’s us two married off now and that’s it.’
Luca replies: ‘Why are we married off?’
He then tells her: ‘Listen we both like each other and we will see how it goes.’
Will the pair get back on track, or will Gemma’s attentions turn back to her ex?
Gemma and Jacques broke up a year and a half ago, and were in a relationship for eight months before their split.
He was drafted into the villa as a new bombshell last week, much to the surprise of Gemma.
‘I’m not bothered about anyone getting to know him, it’s just the initial shock,’ she told Luca.
Meanwhile, Jacques admitted he still ‘cares’ for Gemma and is still very ‘flirtatious’ – as for how that will play out, only time will tell.
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
