Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall’s final date in the middle of the river piqued the interest of Love Island watchers.
We’re just days away from the big finale on Monday [March 13], and the couples are keen to make the most of their time in the South African villa.
Lana and Ron, Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, and Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga all confessed their emotions for one other on Thursday’s programme.
Lana, 25, and Ron, 25, were the first to arrive for a breakfast date on a raised platform in the midst of the ocean, where they sat barefoot in the water.
While the flowers around them were lovely, viewers had varied feelings about the venue.
One person wrote: ‘Wtf? Tom gets to drive Samie in a vintage Ferrari and Ron and Lana have to sit in a swamp? Make it make sense.’
‘So first tom and samie were the ONLY couple to get breakfast in the hideaway and now they have a whole ferrari whilst they have lana and ron sitting in a swamp,’ one person wrote.
‘Yk the final dates are gonna be amazing” meanwhile Lana and Ron’s date is in a swamp,’ another added.
A third joked: ‘Ain’t no way they gave Ron and Lana a table in a Lake with some pringles and Sammie and Tom are getting a whole palace.’
Elsewhere, it was a night of declaration as Samie struggled to contain her shock as Tom revealed that he was ‘falling in love’ with her.
She replied: ‘You’ve left me a bit speechless now!’
Tanya and Shaq, on the other hand, made their love official after a difficult journey in the villa.
‘With you I’ve found the one, I don’t want anyone else,’ he told her.
The islanders were also asked to vote for the pair they thought was the least compatible.
The pair with the highest votes will be eliminated from Monday’s big finale!
Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
