The Love Island villa could be set for yet another explosive argument after spoilers for Tuesday night’s episode reveal Gemma Owen discovers Jacques O’Neill has been bitching about their past relationship to her current beau Luca Bish.

After locking horns with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu on Monday evening after Dami Hope’s mind-reading session, could the international dressage rider be in for another falling out?

It all kicks off when Luca quizzes Jay about his past with Gemma and what they were like together as they chill out on the day beds.

‘I’d much rather be with Paige than Gem,’ Jacques admits. ‘Like 1000%. Like I could literally go out with Paige, be myself and the next day wake up and have no issues, at all.

‘Even if I’d said something wrong, or anything. But if I did that with Gem I’ve got questions to answer the next day.’

Later Gemma learns of the conversation. But what will she think of her ex discussing their relationship with her new man?

Are we about to see another argument send shockwaves across the villa?

Gemma’s ex Jacques entered the Love Island villa earlier this month, with the contestant previously revealing they had broken up a year and a half ago.

She had been in a relationship with the rugby star for eight months before their split, meaning she would have been around 16 when they got together while he was 20.

While it’s clear the former couple are just friends, viewers were convinced that they would get back together… especially after she accidentally called Luca by Jacques’ name.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
