Love Island might just be giving us an enemies to lovers trope with Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and we could not be more here for it.
The pair have had a roller coaster of a journey so far – they were coupled up, before Ekin-Su caused chaos in the villa by turning her head to Jay Younger, and leaving Davide fuming to say the least.
Despite some TV gold from the pair (the crawling terrace scene is one for the Love Island history books), things went to pot when Jay admitted he was interested in Paige Thorne and recoupled with her.
However, it seems the lines between love and hate have started to blur between Davide, who’s coupled up with Danica Taylor, and Ekin-Su, who’s been getting to know new boy Charlie Radnedge, as they sit down for a very flirty chat in tonight’s episode.
The first look shows Davide telling Ekin-Su: ‘I laugh with you, sometimes I like to take the p**s out of you but-‘
‘Yeah I’m not coming to you to…this is just a friendship talk, it’s nothing…’ Ekin-Su continues, before the pair dissolve into giggles and have to look away from each other.
Chatting in the Beach Hut, Ekin-Su insists: ‘We’re talking as friends but there’s something…I don’t know what it is, there’s a special something with Davide that I can’t have with anyone else in here.’
Guys, we can’t keep up over here!
Fans reckon it’s a sure sign there’s still something between them, with one tweeting: ‘Davide & Ekin Su should just get back together abeg…they both obviously have still got a thing for eachother, no matter how hard they wanna try to hide or deny it lol.’
Another added: ‘Give me Ekin Su and Davide lovers to enemies to lovers storyline,’ while one more said: ‘Lovers to exes to lovers. This is a complete Taylor swift storyline. If Davide and Ekin su get back together, they got my support.’
Others have got some major deja vu from Toby Amoralan and Chloe Burrows last year, after the pair split, before getting back together and making it to the final.

Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope enjoy a gorgeous first date, while Paige is torn between Jay and Jacques O’Neill.
