The reports are true… ITV will produce a Love Island spin-off starring the show’s most famous competitors.

The network has revealed that Love Island All-Stars will replace the winter season of the popular reality series on our screens next year.

While the cast has yet to be revealed, the cast will consist of famous previous Islanders given another chance to find the one.

Bosses are apparently interested in season five bombshell Maura Higgins, first-season Sophie Piper, and series two standout Kady McDermott.

According to rumours, the previously named candidates, as well as series three champion Kem Cetinay and series two star Scott Thomas, are at the top of the want list.

The All Stars programme will be recorded in South Africa at a ‘luxury’ villa, however it has not been confirmed if it would be the same £1.2 million home tucked in the country’s wine-making area that was used for the winter season.

Lifted Entertainment’s boss stated that he ‘couldn’t wait’ for the spin-off as he teased fans about what’s in store.

‘It has been rumoured for a long now, but we are happy to officially confirm that we are creating Love Island: All Stars early next year for ITV2 and ITVX,’ Mike Spencer said.

‘It’s sure to be a must-see season, with some of your favourite Islanders from the past returning to the magnificent South African villa to “graft” once more as their search for love continues. I really can’t wait.’

All Stars isn’t the first Love Island spin-off to be announced recently, with Maya Jama set to host an international version of the programme on Peacock.

Former Love Island competitors will endure team and pair challenges while dating, eliminations, recoupling, and dramatic new arrivals.

There are no clues on who will be joining the Fiji villa Love, but in addition to Maya, OG narrator Ian Sterling will be back to provide his typical sarcasm on the islanders’ every action.

Back in the UK, Love Island is awaiting word on whether it will take home the reality competition award at the National Television Awards.

It will compete with Race Across The World, SAS: Who Dares Wins, and The Traitors.

Love Island: All Stars will air on ITV2 and ITVX next year.
