In just one week, fans have sent nearly 1,000 complaints to Ofcom about Love Island, saying that several islanders are “beating” Scott Van Der Sluis.
The 22-year-old football player has been pretty down since Catherine Agbaje and Elom Ahlijah-Wilson got back together on Casa Amor last week.
On Sunday’s much-anticipated Movie Night, Scott had to watch his ex-girlfriend enthusiastically kiss Elom while the other girls cheered her on in her new relationship.
But things got really bad when Leah Taylor said that Scott is single because “no one wanted him” at Casa Amor. In response, Leah said that she hadn’t said anything in the “four weeks” she had been on the show.
Fans liked his strong comeback, but they have found the last few shows uncomfortable because it seems like most people “have a problem” with the Welsh islander. Some fans have even wondered if “something went down” behind the scenes.
‘Every episode it’s Scott getting bullied it’s actually crazy,’ one person tweeted.

Listen I love Scott but surely there is something MISSING that we as viewers aren’t seeing, the fact that everyone including boys AND girls vividly dislike Scott and it’s not just 1 person is WEIRD. #LoveIsland pic.twitter.com/aZsTkpwoxB

I hate that Scott has been gaslit into thinking he’s been causing problems in the villa when all he’s done is defended himself #loveisland pic.twitter.com/JUSZQ00J5y

‘I hate that Scott has been gaslit into thinking he’s been causing problems in the villa when all he’s done is defended himself,’ another added.
957 people called the TV watchdog to complain about how Scott was treated on Sunday’s Movie Night show.
Before this, 155 complaints were filed with Ofcom because Jess Harding was called a “mean girl” for the way she treated Molly Marsh.
On the show that aired on June 14, Jess, who is 22 years old, said some hurtful things about Molly, a musical theatre artist, behind her back. When she was called out on her behaviour, she broke down in tears.
After she turned away from Mitchel Taylor, Molly had made it clear that she wanted to get to know Zachariah Noble.
But Jess didn’t like how she did things, and she made that pretty clear.
At one point, the beauty practitioner told the other people in the group that Molly was “doing the most” in the gym.
Ella Thomas replied: ‘She’s not leaving Zach’s side today. She is obviously pretending that she just wanted to work out.’
Jess added: ‘She knows we’re talking about her. I don’t give a f***. Give a f***.’
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
