Love Island viewers noticed that Liam Llewellyn was absent from a large part of Thursday night’s episode before the shocking bombshell on Friday that he has reportedly ‘become the first islander to exit.’
Liam, 22, was treated to two dates in the latest episode, after being left single and vulnerable earlier in the week.
He was originally coupled up with Gemma Owen, 19, by the public, before newcomer Davide Sanclimenti chose to enter into a pairing with the dressage rider.
While Liam was given newcomers Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Afia Tonkmor to get to know, it’s claimed he has now quit the villa.
But during the most recent instalment, eagle-eyed viewers had already picked up on his supposed absence after his double helping of dates.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday night, one fan wrote: ‘Nah fr tho where’s Liam gone? #LoveIsland.’
‘MISSING PERSON Looking for Liam, went on a date with 2 women and haven’t seen him since,’ a viewer commented.
Someone else noted: ‘Ermmmmm where has Liam gone since he had his dates? Feel like I haven’t seen him for days!!!!! #LoveIsland.’
‘MISSING: LIAM where has he gone after those dates? #LoveIsland,’ asked another.
A fan weighed in. Wait where did Liam go? He’s been missing since them dates. Is he OK?’
It’s not yet been confirmed by ITV whether Liam has indeed left the villa, but he will be gathering the boys around the famous fire pit tonight for an announcement.
He’ll then reveal the decision that he’s made, but what will Liam tell his fellow singletons?
An insider told The Sun: ‘The reasons behind it are unknown so viewers will be glued to their screens tonight to find out.’
He appeared to hit it off with the new girls, but then Ekin-Su made a beeline for Davide in the villa.
Just yesterday, the people looking after Liam’s account shared photos of him smiling in the sun, alongside the caption: ‘Carnage on the cards tonight. What do we all think?!’
He is from Newport in South Wales and is studying for his masters in strength and conditioning, and was already fast becoming a favourite of those tuning in at home.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
