Love Island fans have asked that Elon Musk change his new Twitter regulations immediately before the start of Casa Amor.
On Saturday, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, 52, put a temporary limit on the number of tweets users may read in a day, prompting widespread criticism.
Unverified accounts are limited to 600 posts per day, with new unverified accounts limited to 300 per day, in an effort to ‘address high amounts of data harvesting and system manipulation.’
Love Island viewers, who now fear that the constraints may damage their pleasure of the programme, were among those criticising Elon’s controversial and unexpected action.
They were particularly incensed that the legislation was enacted so close to the appropriate reinstatement of Casa Amor, which would witness the return of former islander Molly Marsh.

‘How are we going to enjoy #loveisland and #bigbrothernaija all stars? Elon you will crumble,’ one fan fumed.
‘Reading limit right before casa amor??? I’m sick,’ another chimed in, while a third raged: ‘Elon Musk is so wicked for doing this during casa period #LoveIsland.’
Many others were outraged at the possibility of not being able to watch Love Island with the rest of the country, with one fan claiming that reading ‘unhinged tweets’ was their favourite part of the programme.
