We’re just a few days in, and Love Island 2022 has already delivered a feast of drama.

From Gemma Owen’s head being turned for bombshell Davide Sanclimenti to actor Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu causing a stir among the girls and Liam Lewellyn becoming the first islander to quit, there’s already a lot to wrap our heads around.

However, one important element of the show has been missing so far – the previews for the following episode, complete with narrator Iain Stirling’s booming, ominous utterance of the phrase: ‘Tomorrow night.’

The tomorrow night previews have marked some of the most dramatic moments on the show, such as when Maura Higgins revealed she was crushing hard on Curtis Pritchard, much to everyone’s absolute shock.

Then, in last year’s series, Toby Aromolaran started off in a couple with Kaz Kamwi, before moving on with Chloe Burrows, and then Abigail Rawlings, and then Mary Bedford… before one of the teasers for the next episode revealed he was still harbouring feelings for Chloe in a jaw-dropping twist.

Honestly – we need the excitement of the teases! Plus, plenty of fans have been feeling the same way.

‘I’ve realised Love Island have stopped putting the “Tomorrow Night” trailers. They better return that immediately,’ one person tweeted.

‘#LoveIsland needs to start showing the “tomorrow night” previews… why are they being so stingy???’ someone else remarked.

Another person wrote: ‘What happened to the “tomorrow night” thing at the end of every ep? The uncertainty is killing me i need to know if s**t’s about to hit the fan or not??’

Someone else said the ‘suspense was going to kill them’ if they didn’t see a preview, as another added: ‘The producers need to bring back “tomorrow night” after the end of an episode.’

Our message is this: listen to the people!

Liam has an important announcement to make tonight (Picture: ITV)

For all we know, ITV might have chosen to hold off on the tomorrow night previews until the series has progressed further, as we’re currently only a few days in. Fingers crossed that’s the case!

Ahead of tonight’s episode, it was reported that Liam had become the first islander of the series to call it quits, before the recoupling ceremony takes place.

In a first look at the show, Liam was shown calling everyone to the firepit for a shock announcement, the contents of which will be revealed later.

Addressing his exit, an insider told The Sun: ‘The reasons behind it are unknown so viewers will be glued to their screens tonight to find out.’

Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
