ITV’s Love Island is back, with Laura Whitmore hosting and her husband Iain Stirling narrating.
The reality show was cancelled last year, but summer 2021 sees a group of new contestants hoping to find love.
Liberty Poole has been announced as one of the first cast members.
Who is she and what’s her day job?
Who is Liberty Poole on Love Island?
Liberty Poole, 21 is a student and waitress from Birmingham.
She’s currently studying for a three-year marketing degree at Birmingham City University.
Working in Nando’s, she’s had a few run-ins with romance – including being proposed to by a regular customer.
‘It was a bit unexpected!’ she said.
‘He got down on one knee and was like, ‘Will you marry me?’. But in his hand, it was a charity support badge not a diamond ring or nothing. So I was thinking, that’s one way of saying I’m a charity case when it comes to love! ‘
Liberty shared the announcement to her Instagram (@libertypoolex), alongside a snap of the famous Love Island water bottles.
She says she wants ‘the best summer ever because we have been in lockdown for a year so it would be nice to go away and enjoy the sun and make friends as well.’

Liberty says that she ‘can’t wait for the girly friendships’ as she’s a ‘girls’ girl’.
In the villa, she’s hoping to find a ‘tall alpha male’.
She says she’s had issues with ‘player types’ in the past, so is looking for ‘a nicer guy that is going to treat [her] right.’
‘I’ve never had that nice, happy relationship so I think it will be nice and something for me to experience,’ she added.
Love Island launches Monday 28 June at 9pm on ITV2.
