Love Island 2021 star Lucinda Strafford has revealed that her relationship with Aaron Francis is already over after leaving the villa.

Well, that didn’t last long.

The pair were dumped on Sunday’s show after receiving the fewest votes from the public, and she’s said they’ve agreed to be ‘really good friends’ – despite saying she was open to ‘continuing things’ just a few days ago.

The 21-year-old told MailOnline: ‘Unfortunately, both of us didn’t find actual love in the villa. We’re great friends, I know that I can come to him for anything. The aim of the game is to find love and I did really want to… I made amazing friends in there.’

She added about Aaron: ‘We’ll definitely meet up, but whether it’s a date. We’re unsure what’s going to happen romantically between us, because we haven’t been able to properly see each other, and we’re both going to be busy because we have busy schedules going on so, if it’s not romantically we’ll be really good friends.’

Discussing their goodbye at the airport, Lucinda added: ‘It was weird, Aaron and I were at the airport, and we were like, we don’t even have each other’s numbers. We were hugging goodbye and thought we need to exchange numbers.’

Speaking after rumours emerged during her time in the villa, Lucinda also denied that she was dating Brighton footballer Aaron Connoll while on the show.

‘I am completely and utterly single,’ she said. ‘Never in a million years would I go on Love Island if I was in a relationship, and I’m sure if I had a boyfriend, he wouldn’t be very happy with it either.

‘We ended quite dramatically at the start of March but then we made friends, and we share a dog. It’s a shared dog and he’s been looking after it.’

In the meantime, Lucinda – like millions of others – will be enjoying watching the drama inside the Love Island villa from home, with things stepping up during Casa Amor week.

The most recent episode saw Faye Winter wanting to move on from Teddy Soares after a shocking postcard rocked the villa – despite the fact that her partner has chosen to remain loyal to her.

A postcard was later delivered to the main villa, showing images of the boys getting very cosy with some of the new girls.

One particular snap shows Teddy locking lips with one of the new bombshells as part of the truth or dare game which took place in Monday night’s episode.

The postcard also showed Tyler Cruickshank, who is currently coupled up with Kaz Kamwi, kissing new girl Clarisse Juliette, as the pair shared a bed together.

Kaz was left in tears after seeing this, but by the end of the episode, she had moved on with newcomer Matthew MacNabb.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
