Love Island 2021 fans are wondering where she’s been recently, but it’s confirmed that Laura Whitmore will make a big return to the show for a huge recoupling.

During tonight’s episode, Hugo Hammond at Casa amor receives a text which reads: ‘Boys. Tonight there will be a recoupling in which you must decide whether you want to remain coupled up with your partner back in the villa or recouple with one of the new girls. #dontcountthedaysmakethedayscount’

The same text is also sent to the girls, only with the hashtag ‘stickortwist’ added.

Later in the episode, Laura makes a grand entrance as the Islanders gather at the fire pit.

Speaking to the group, Laura says: ‘Girls as you know tonight there will be a recoupling. Each of you has a big decision to make.

‘I’m going to ask you all one-by-one if you want to stick with your current partner who has been in Casa Amor or do you want to couple up with one of these boys standing in front of you now?’

She adds: ‘The boys in Casa Amor have also been given a choice – whether to stick with you or couple up with one of the new girls. Remember Casa Amor is the ultimate relationship test. Do you trust that your boy has stayed loyal to you? Or do you think he will have strayed?’

Safe to say, Laura is here to mix things up.

And not before time – fans began to wonder where the host had got to earlier this month, having reportedly spent less than 12 minutes on screen at one point.

The TV star even previously addressed her absence after being questioned about by viewers, explaining to a fan who asked where she’d been: ‘Hosting live show from London weekly, think you’d enjoy it if you watched! I’ve got great roaming package for the aul spanish texts at the mo.’

There’s plenty more drama to look out for in the episode. It seems that Faye Winter’s head might be turned before Teddy Soares returns to the main villa from Casa Amor, as tonight’s episode of Love Island will see her sharing a bed with Sam Jackson.

The girls in the main villa received a bombshell in the form of a savage postcard showing Teddy locking lips with Clarisse Juliette, but without the context of the fact that they kissed during a game, much to the fury of viewers.

Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
