Hugo Hammond and Amy Day kissed on Love Island (Picture: ITV2)
Love Island star Hugo Hammond announced that he’d got the ‘job done’ as he kissed Amy Day in Casa Amor.
The PE teacher hasn’t had the easiest time in the villa, and has been bouncing between friendship couples and awkward pairings since day one.
However, his luck may be about to change as he shared a passionate moment with bombshell Amy, marking his first non-task kiss on the show.
And he decided to celebrate the milestone by stating ‘job done’ seconds after locking lips.
Yes, seriously.
‘Job done! Right come on then,’ he said as Amy exclaimed: ‘Job done? Jesus, what is this?!’

‘I’m just going to take a minute,’ he replied. ‘Now I’m on Love Island. I made it!’
Note to Hugo, you made it onto Love Island exactly one month ago, hun.
Unsurprisingly, those two little words sent viewers watching from home into a spin, with the phrase quickly trending on Twitter.
‘Everything about Hugo is just CRINGE sorry. What was the need for that “job done”? Ruining the only almost nice moment he’s had with a woman on the show :/ #LoveIsland,’ an unimpressed fan commented.
‘Awh Hugo! What was that? No girl wants to hear “job done” after a snog. #loveisland,’ a follower suggested.
As one fumed: ‘Job done’ ‘Now I’m on Love Island’ oh good god Hugo #LoveIsland.’
‘Job done?? Hugo really??? What’s wrong with you?!! #LoveIsland,’ another replied.
A Twitter user added: ‘Nah did Hugo just say job done after kissing a girl oh my god. Oh my actual god. #LoveIsland.’
The whole scenario hasn’t put Amy off Hugo, as a teaser for tomorrow night’s episode showed them enjoying another kiss.
Love Island continues daily, at 9pm, on ITV2.
