Lorraine Kelly was nearly stunned as a reporter suddenly showed her underwear on live television.
The Scottish broadcaster, 63, couldn’t believe her eyes when Lucie Cave raised her skirt to show off her red knickers during an ITV programme piece on current trends.
Lucie was inspired by Emma Corrin, who walked the red carpet at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on Sunday wearing knitted olive green underwear over tights.
After explaining the emerging underwear-as-outerwear trend, which has also been spotted on Kylie Jenner, Lucie declared: ‘Now I’m giving it a go. Sorry if it’s put you off your breakfast.’
An aghast Lorraine demanded: ‘What are you going to do?’
But before she could stop her, Lucie flashed her pants, with Lorraine sighing: ‘Jesus.’
‘Sorry Mum!’ Lucie exclaimed, walking closer to the cameras with her underwear still in full view.
Lucie returned to Lorraine, who was grinning, after releasing grip of her skirt, and declared the trend ‘not hot.’
She added: ‘I know I’ve worn them on national TV but I’m not going to be wearing them again.’
Lorraine declared: ‘I am not wearing my pants over anything.’
If Lucie and Lorraine aren’t into the newest fashion trend, they should stay away after Julia Fox wowed in a virtually nude costume.
The 33-year-old legend walked out in New York City wearing a black leather jacket with nothing below but the smallest bikini we’ve ever seen. And it was made of metal.
Lorraine recently chastised Maura Higgins over her risky outfit choice at the National Television Awards.
The Love Island newcomer dazzled in a provocative illusion gown with strings of pearls draped over her body, partially hiding her and the gown’s dramatic cutaway.
Commenting on the outfit, Lorraine remarked: ‘I don’t understand – I’m baffled and confused and I don’t understand.’
‘I would be worried about slippage, frankly,’ she added.
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV.
