In the run-up to his appearance on the show, the West End performer turned to Instagram to tease who he would be fighting against for the Glitterball trophy.
On Sunday, Layton uploaded a video of his reaction that carried a caption saying: ‘Me, minutes before I met my Strictly pro!’
In the clip, he can be seen beaming back at the camera and making faces to an accompanying soundtrack that said: ‘This is because you genuinely don’t know which is great. It’s going to be a genuine surprise.’
Layton shared the video that he ended by blowing an overwhelmed raspberry at the camera with another caption, penning: ‘Happy to say, I’m HAPPY!’
